Conflict Resolution Diagram

The Conflict Resolution Diagram shows the logic used by the RamSoft software to determine whether an incoming DICOM object is new or if it belongs to a patient already existing on the system.

A DICOM object is any image, audio file, report, or presentation state that follows the DICOM standard. SOPInstanceUID is a number that is associated with every single DICOM object. Due to its complexity, this number is unique for every DICOM object worldwide. SeriesInstanceUID is a number associated with every single DICOM object series and is also unique. Finally, the StudyInstanceUID is a unique number that is assigned to each DICOM study.
