How Do I Configure Rule Based Services?

Rule based services are a method for defining various task services in RamSoft Software. Rule based task services offer an automated way to reduce storage spaces by compressing or purging data which is unimportant. The services allow users to define which type of studies are unimportant and how much compression or purging should be done of this data. The ultimate goal of this function is to cut down the cost of storage for imaging facilities.

Two task services i.e compression of image files and Purging of unimportant files, are run according to specific criteria (rules) which have been defined by the user. The Rule-based task services will go through each rule, check the studies qualified for each rule, perform the task assigned and then log this activity. Rules are assigned a priority and if a study matches more than one rule, it is processed by the rule of higher priority only.
