How Do I Integrate MedlinePlus Software With the System?
RamSoft PowerServer 6.0 allows users to provide information to the patient regarding a specific diagnosis / lab test they have. The users can click on specific links which opens a webpage from MedlinePlus. The page contains specific information regarding the diagnosis code (CPT, ICD-10 codes) or a lab test result (LOINC code).
The settings for MedlinePlus are accessed through Integrations > MedlinePlus Integration > Settings.
The MedlinePlus Settings form has three tabs. The Problem tab, the Diagnosis tab and the Lab Result tab.
The Problem log
The Problem Tab contains specific fields which have default values. The Problem Code Education Connect URL: field has the web address fro MedlinePlus. The Main Search Criteria section has default values as does the Code Search Macro field which will allow search based on CPT code. The Language Setting Macro: field is used to determine the language settings for MedlinePlus. It is set to the default language of the PowerServer.
The Diagnosis tab
The Diagnosis tab contains specific fields which have default values. The Lab Result Code Education Connect URL is used to open the MedlinePlus URL. The Main Search Criteria and the Code Search Macro fields are used to search the MedlinePlus website according to Diagnosis codes: ICD-9 and ICD-10. The Language Setting Macro is used to display the information in the patients chosen language. This setting is set to the default language of the PowerServer.
The Lab Result tab
The Lab Result tab is used to provide more information regarding any specific lab tests which might have been performed on the patient. The fields have default values. The Lab Result Code Education Connect URL is used to open the MedlinePlus URL. The Main Search Criteria and the Code Search Macro fields are used to search the MedlinePlus website according to LOINC code. The Language Setting Macro is used to display the information in the patients chosen language. This setting is set to the default language of the PowerServer.
