Finding & Organizing Data

Once patient and study data can be located, it is often desired to view individual cases in more detail. Three sections have been dedicated to this task. The How Do I View & Edit Details About a Patient? section details how to view and edit information that pertains to details about the patient. The How Do I View & Edit Details About a Study? section details how to view and edit information that pertains to a specific study of a patient. Finally the How Do I View & Edit Details About a Series? section explains how to view and modify information pertaining to a series of images.

The functionality of pushing studies out to other DICOM stations, PowerReader clients and specific users is covered in the How Do I DICOM Push a Study? section.

Even though workflow has been automated, sometimes the need to search for a study arises. Whether it is an old study that has to be accessed, or a recent one that needs to be opened outside of the regular workflow route, sometimes a search must be performed. The functionality to search through the system database is detailed in the Using the Search List section.

Sometimes, searches outside of the system must be conducted. A user may need to search through other DICOM stations on the network in order to find a specific patient or study. This functionality is also available in the software and is detailed in the Finding Studies on Remote Machines section.
