Integration

The RamSoft software includes support for integration with other applications. The system supports the URL integration mechanism that can be used for communication with other applications.

The URL integration mechanism involves other applications launching the system through the use of URL calls. These calls can allow the applications, such as a RIS, to automatically log into PowerReader and open the system to a specific study. Security mechanisms have also been provided that prevent users from viewing unauthorized studies and patients. Enabling and using this tool is described in the URL Integration section.

In addition to the above tools, RamSoft products can integrate with other specialized medical imaging software such as Visage.

Three dimensional reconstruction and visualization softwares such as Voxar 3D and Terarecon Aquariusnet provide a unique way to view medical images. These softwares have been integrated into PowerServer and the the settings described in the Voxar 3D, and Terarecon sections allow the user to take full advantage of these powerful tools.

In PowerReader, Voice Recognition has been enhanced to increase productivity within the Workflow. This enhancement enables radiologists to automate the transcription process and improve efficiency for repetitive tasks. Transcription softwares such as PowerScribe, Dragon and Speech Understanding™ have been integrated into PowerReader to allow increased productivity through these softwares.

Integration with specialized softwares such as MyFax, ActiveFax, and InterFax has been described in detail in dedicated sections. If any of these applications have been installed, the settings described in these sections allow the user to take full advantage of these powerful tools.
