TCP/IP XML Integration

TCP/IP XML is a bidirectional (two way) integration. This bidirectional flow of information can be described with the flow chart using MagView as an example below:

When a study is opened in the external server, the Patient ID and Accession Number is sent to PowerReader via TCP/IP XML protocol. This information is used to open the same study in PowerReader. In the same manner, when a study is opened in PowerReader, the Patient ID and Accession Number is sent to the TCP/IP XML protocol which passes on this information to the external server. This allows the same study to be opened in the external server.

Configuring TCP/IP XML Integration
  1. Log into PowerReader.

  2. Go to Settings > Client Integration Setup.

  3. Click on the TCP/IP XML Integration tab.

  4. Check the TCP/IP XML Integration Enabled option.

  5. Enter the External Server Host and External Server Port. This information allows PowerReader to send XML messages to another system.

  6. Enter the PowerReader Listening Port. This is the TCP/IP port that PowerReader will use to receive XML messages from another system.

  7. Click OK to save the changes.
