How Do I Modify the Default List of Annotations?
When Reading Physicians annotate images they have the option of placing a label in a desired location on the image. These labels can be entered manually or they can be one of the predefined labels available from the annotations drop-down menu. The default list of annotations is fairly extensive and covers a wide range of common labels. However, since the RamSoft software is installed in a variety of imaging environments, a number of the default labels will not be applicable to certain specialized facilities. To reduce the number of annotations available in the drop-down menu, and to add new ones, the Annotations dialog can be used. This dialog is launched by clicking Settings > Descriptions > Annotations.
Any annotation in the list can be edited or deleted while new ones are added manually. It is a recommended practice to keep this list clean. This reduces the amount of unused entries that the reading physicians will have to scroll through to choose the desired one. This list is global, and the changes will affect all users of the system.
