How Can I Monitor the Studies Sent by the System?
The RamSoft software maintains a list of all the studies that are currently being transferred, are queued up to be transferred, or have been transferred out of the system. This list is accessible by clicking Settings > Logs > Communication > Transmit Log tab.

The Transmit Log is composed of two sections. The first section is found under the Pending tab. This section contains a list of all the studies that are currently being transferred, have been scheduled for transfer and are queued up, or have failed.
The Status column determines what is currently happening with the study. Any given study will have one of the following associated with it.
- SCHEDULED - Indicates the study has been scheduled for transfer. It is queued up and will be sent once the communication lines are free or its scheduled time window occurs.
- IN PROGRESS - Indicates the study is currently being transferred.
- FAILED - Indicates the requested DICOM operation was attempted and has failed. A study that has Failed has its priority value decreased by one. If after this demotion it is still the highest priority study in the list, it is reattempted immediately. If its priority value is now lower than other studies in the list, transmission of those studies will take place first. Once the Failed study becomes the highest priority again, it will be reattempted. The software will reattempt to send each failed study up to ten times.
- TOO MANY FAILURES - Indicates the system has attempted to send the study ten times and has failed in each attempt. Once this state has been reached, the system will wait for one hour before attempting to send it again.
If a study reaches one of the failed statuses, it can be manually restarted by highlighting it and clicking the Resume button. Any study in the list can be removed from the Transmit list by highlighting it and clicking the Delete button.
Clicking the button will open a listing of any errors or warnings that are associated with the sending of the study. These errors or warnings will also show up in the Error Log.
Clicking the Completed tab will open the list of all the successfully transferred studies.

This list will only contain studies that have fully transferred. Clicking the + button in the Details column will display any errors or warnings that occurred during the transfer. Entries in this list are a legal record and cannot be removed or edited.
MPPS Log
The Transmit Log contains the MPPS Log. MPPS is a method to allow a system to receive the most up-to-date status of the study. The MPPS Log has a Pending section and a status column, which works similarly to the Pending section of the Transmit Log.

If an MPPS transfer failed, it can be manually restarted by highlighting it and then clicking on the Resume button. An MPPS of a study can be deleted from the MPPS Pending Log by selecting the study and clicking on the Delete button.
Clicking the Completed tab will open the list of all the studies that have successfully transferred MPPS.
Storage Commitment Log
The Storage Commitment Log provides feedback from the receiving system to let the sending station know if the studies were received successfully.
The Pending section of the Storage Commitment tab tells the sending station what the receiving status of the studies on the Receiving system is through the Status column, similar to the Pending section in the Transmit Log. If the receiver does not receive all of the objects from the study it is receiving, this will be indicated under the # Failed Objects Column. These failed objects can be re-submitted by highlighting the study and then clicking on the Resume button. The storage commitment of a study can be deleted from the Storage Commitment log by selecting the study and clicking on the Delete button.
Clicking the Completed tab will open the list of all the studies that the receiver station has successfully received.
