Ignore Presentation States

When checked off will prevent the receiving station from receiving Presentation States.

Image

The images of the human body (or parts and function thereof) for clinical purposes (medical procedures seeking to reveal, diagnose or examine disease) or medical science (including the study of normal anatomy and physiology).

Image (medical)

Image and Text Option

Will display the name of the tool in text along with the icon beside it.

Image annotations

Descriptive text used to label or mark-up text/images and allows notes and comments to be added.

Image bookmark

A bookmark which can be populated y an actual image from the study.

Image Display Area

The Image Display Area is composed of View boxes of Series or Images

Image Filter

Same as filter

Image Right Click Menu

Menu option when using the mouse right click button

Image Sink

The software interface launched by the Image Source. Image Sinks include the PowerReader and Caches.

Image Source

A server that launches the software interface used to retrieve image data. Image Sources include the PowerServer and Caches.

Image Source Connection List

Determines the the order with which image sources are accessed

Image Source Location

Physical location of where the image begins during DICOM communication

Same as viewport

Impact on System Workflow

Description of the effect different study status have on the RamSoft system

Import non-DICOM images

This import will not read the image data but rather it will import the raw image into the current Study and Series selected in the Patient Explorer.

Import Option

This option will permit the importing of images (both DICOM and non-DICOM) into the current Study and Series selected in the Patient Explorer.

IN PROGRESS

Status indicating that the study is currently in process (e.g. being printed, faxed etc)

Inactivity Timer

Ensures that when the system is inactive for the set time interval, any logged in user is automatically logged out

Include Discontinued Study checkbox

When selected allows studies with DISCONTINUED study status to appear within the search results.

Info Button

This will open the Patient Information Form.

Institution Name

The name of the facility where the fax is being sent from

Insurance Company

A financial institution that sells insurance

Insurance Company Info

Displays all of the Insurance Companies Information, including: Payer Name, Payer ID, Carrier ID, Contact Name, Fee Schedule, Address, Business phone number, Claims Phone number, claims fax number, benefits phone number, authorization phone number, authorization fax number, fax number, website, and email.

Insurance Information

Information regarding to an insurance company in RamSoft software

Insurance Tab

An area reserved for the patient's insurance information

Insured's Coverage Information

Information regarding the insurance for the individual on the policy

Integer column

The column which gives the user an option to enter values for configuration entries requiring an actual integer value.

Integration Setup

The section of RamSoft Software which deals with integrating third Party Software with RamSoft Software. The system supports the URL Integration mechanism for communication with other applications. In URL Integration, other application can be launched through the use of URL calls.

Invert checkbox

Specifies whether the original image should be inverted.

Invert Tool

Used to reverse the grayscale values of an image.

IP Address

Unique static address assigned to the modality client and the PACS server; IP addresses are used for transmission of image and patient demographic information from the client to the server over an electronic network with TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol

Issuer of Patient ID

The original institution from where the Patient ID was generated for the Patient
