WAN

Wide area network (WAN): a computer network that spans a wider area than does a local area network

Width (Pixels)

The required resolution for the image width in pixels.

Wild Card (%)

Indication that the preset will be applied to all possible body parts or modalities

Window center field

Defines the value used by the Window/Level algorithm to define location of window to show.

Window Level adjustments

Click and drag the mouse vertically and horizontally to change the window level values of the image.

Window level presets

Applying preset window level values to the images displays the images in the optimal state.

Window width

The value used by the Window/Level algorithm to define the width of window to show.

Workflow

The automation of a business process, in whole or part, during which documents, information, or tasks are passed from one participant to another for action, according to a set of procedural rules.

Worklist

PowerWorklist is what the users interact with whenever they log into the system. It eliminates the user's need to search for studies to work with as they are automatically available whenever the user logs into the system

Worklist Editor

A tool used to create custom Worklists on an individual user level, as well as at the role level

Worklist Settings

A button which opens up the Worklist editor.

Workstation

A terminal or desktop computer in a network. In this context, workstation is just a generic term for a user's machine (client machine) in contrast to a "server" or "mainframe".
