How Do I Create a New Graphic Layer?

When you begin annotating an image, the annotations are automatically grouped into a graphic layer. Everything is placed into one graphic layer, unless a new one is explicitly created. The reason for creating a new graphic layer is usually the desire to use a different font or color for some of the annotations. Since, only one font style can be associated with a graphic layer, a new graphic layer has to be created to achieve this goal.

To create a new graphic layer, you will need to right click an existing annotation. This will open the following menu.

Graphic Layer

Now choose the Layers option to open the list of all the existing graphic layers.

Now choose the New option. Every annotation that you now create will belong to a new Graphic Layer.
