Study Desktop Alerts

Study alerts are used to warn users or radiologists that the study has either procedure code(s) or diagnosis code(s) with an alert message.

Procedure codes and diagnosis codes can be set critical and alert messages can be added for them under RIS settings >> Diagnosis Codes or Procedure Codes

The following are examples of some common study desktop alert scenarios:

  1. When a Patient ID or Issuer is updated, unsaved objects are deleted and the Patient Explorer is refreshed. The alert "Study has been moved to a different patient" is displayed.
  2. When a Study is deleted, all unsaved objects are deleted. The Study Desktop is closed with the message "Study has been deleted".
  3. If the status of a study is changed, the following message is displayed "Study has been advanced to by ___".
  4. If the study has been reassigned to a different user, and the study can no longer be advanced, the message "Study has been reassigned to __" is displayed.
  5. When new study images (current or grouped) are added, the image thumbnails are refreshed the image number is updated. An alert "New Images are Available" is displayed.
  6. When new reports (current or grouped) are added, the document viewer is refreshed and the number of reports is updated in the Worklist display.
