Monitoring the System
The RamSoft PowerReader system is designed to be configured during the installation process and to be fully self-sufficient afterwards. The system runs nightly backups and maintenance activities. It automatically archives studies as needed and avoids filling up the main storage disks. It also performs a variety of automated Workflow tasks. If configured properly, it is able to run with very minimal user maintenance.
It is however, important for a technical user or a system administrator to periodically monitor the System Log for any unusual activities. This log is very similar to the Windows System Log. It keeps track of routine maintenance activities and any unusual events that might have occurred on the system.
It is often important for the System Administrator to monitor the performance of user activities. The system offers a variety of auditing tools which allow an administrative user to keep track of the activities performed on the system for any given period of time.
