Save button The button used to save the transcription in PowerScribe

Save Current Layout as Protocol Option Will launch the viewing protocol wizard.

Save Dictation The menu option after a dictation has been recorded. Allows users to save dictations

Save Layout Saves the current resource layout, including modifications in the Resource Layout Editor

Scan Documents This will add the scanned images to the current Study and Series selected in the Patient Explorer.

Scanner Interface Application Field The field pointing to the correct Scanner_Interface.exe file.

Scheduled Indicates the study has been requested and scheduled to be sent. It is queued up and will be sent once the communication lines are free or its scheduled time window occurs.

Scheduler The Scheduler can be used to keep track of one’s resources and their use. It is like a detailed calendar or planner where events (or studies) can be listed at the appropriate time and date

Scheduler View The scheduler is divided into resources and each resource can display multiple days. To select which and how many days you want to see you can use the calendar on the left section of the screen. The gray highlighted days are the currently selected days. Bold days are days that have something scheduled and the day with a red box is today. You can change the month by clicking on the month name or the left and right arrows beside the name. To have the calendar display multiple months simply drag its bottom or right border.

Scheduler View (Presets) A quick way to change the number of days displayed is by using the built in presets below the calendar.

Scout Lines Reference other orthogonal images in the study.

Scout lines field Determines whether scout lines are displayed on the images by default.

Script Editor The form where custom scripts can be entered. The editor utilizes Pascal scripts only.

Scroll Once Will only play the Cine until the end is reached, at which point it will stop.

Search button Button that opens the quick search dialog

Search Filter section Used to filter search results that will be returned to a station performing a query.

Search Worklist A Worklist displayed when a specified patient and/or study are not present or not accessible by the logged in user.

Secure Email tool Used to send a link of the study to another user of the system.

Select all Images when series selected option Will select all the images within the currently highlighted viewport.

Select outgoing path field The fax path used by the outgoing fax. Should be added by using the browse button.

Send Indicates that your RamSoft station will be sending studies to the remote station.

Send Email Action privileges pertaining to their user role

Send fax options The user option which allows users to send fax.

Send Only New Objects checkbox When selected, the sending station will compare the objects in the study being sent, to the objects of the same study on the lookup station. If there are more objects in the study of the sending station, only those objects will be sent. If there were no new objects being sent, the transmit will not be logged in the Completed section of the Communication log.

Send Studies Privilege Privilege an user must have in order to Push selected images

Send Tab Area that allows the ability to toggle options that are used by the RamSoft station when it is sending studies to a remote destination.

Send to menu The right-click menu option which displays various fax options to the user

Send to PACS button The button used to highlight the destination and send the picture to PowerServer. Located above the Floppy disk icon.

SendFax option The user option which allows users to send fax.

Series A number of images of the same class coming one after another in spatial or temporal succession

Series information The information in the Series form of PowerServer

Series Linking Will make all the series on the screen scroll simultaneously.

Series Linking option Simply links all the view boxes on the screen together. This means that if you scroll through, or Cine any of the view boxes, all the other ones will scroll along simultaneously.

Series option Will open a list of all the different series of images within the study.

Series Tab This tab consists of additional options that can be used to tweak the protocol.

Series Window Window that shows each series

Server host field The server's address for Terarecon Aquariusnet.

Server URL field The field containing the server address for Dictaphone PowerScribe

Service Manual A manual prepared by the manufacturer of RamSoft software that describes the methodology of servicing and maintaining it.

Service Tasks Background tasks performed by the RamSoft Tasks Service

Settings Menu Area to make changes to the RamSoft software settings

Setup viewport The screen used to restore the dialogue settings to default.

Setup viewport dialog The viewport which allows Annotation Sensitivity Factor Value to be changed.

Sex drop-down menu drop-down to assign the Sex that this Diagnosis Code is used for. M stands for Male, F stands for Female and B stands for Both

Sharpness Tool An image enhancement tool

Show active scout lines Will only show the scout line referencing the currently highlighted image.

Show all Scot lines Will show scout lines referencing all images within the study

Show annotations option Will display the image's annotation values whenever a certain region of the image is highlighted by an ROI.

Show arrows on label checkbox Will display arrows pointing from the label to the vertebra. If it is not selected, the label will be put directly on the vertebra.

Show Less Resource Decreases the number of resources shown at one time in the scheduler

Show More Resource Increases the number of resources shown at one time in the scheduler

Show Patient Annotations off/on Will hide/show the patient specific tags that are found in the top left corner of the images.

Show scheduler To display the scheduler go to the Worklist Editor button (the pencil button to the right of the Worklist name field). At the bottom you will see a section entitled Scheduler Details. Check off the box beside Show Scheduler.

Show selected scout lines Will only show Scout Lines referencing images that are currently selected.

Show series Will open the form that displays the series information for the study.

Show Series button Will open the form that displays the series information for the study.

Show visible scout lines Will show Scout Lines referencing all currently visible images.

Show X marks on label checkbox Will keep displaying the X’s used to draw each label.

Shutter Tool drop-down menu drop-down menu for shutter tool options.

Sigmoid option Provides the ability to toggle between Linear and Sigmoid window and level settings.

Sigmoid window and level Used specifically for x-ray images such as MG, and CR.

Sign button The button used to sign the transcription in PowerScribe.

Single User The final single user after two different users have been merged together.

Size field Defines the size of the matrix used by the filter algorithm.

Slingshot An application which works in tandem with RS MDinTouch to send files to the MDWebtop system. MDIntouch Slingshot software encrypts and securely transfers dictations from a Physician's docking station PC to MTWebTop system.

SOP Class DICOM abbreviation for "Service Object Pair" Class. Includes both Service SOP Class and Storage SOP Class.

Speed scroll bar Controls the speed of the Cine: Left (Slower) or Right (Faster).

Spine Labeling Tool Allows a reading physician to easily label the different vertebrae and disks within a spine study.

SR Report Structured Report Document.

SR Text Report Template When the SR Text Report Template button is clicked, this will open the SR Text Report Template Configuration window. This window sets up the header and footer that will appear when a SR report is printed. The IE Header field defines the Header that will appear in the SR Report. The HTML Header will appear as a title and must use HTML. The IE Footer will appear at the foot of the SR report.

Standard Uptake Value (SUV) Defined as the ratio of activity in tissue per milliliter to the activity in the injected dose per patient body weight. The unit appears for NM/PT studies.

Start Scanning Button Button used to initiate the document scanning process

Start Search Button Begins a search from the populated search fields

Start Time The Time when the Resource would be available. This is visible in the Scheduler

Start Time Column Indicates the time each task should be run.

Station List A list of stations that have been configured for DICOM communication. this list may include modalities, radiologists workstations, other PACS, and storage devices.

Status Bar Bottom area of the form or window, which normally appears above the Windows Task Bar at the bottom of the screen.

Status Column This column determines what is currently happening with the study.

Status Order Dialog Determines the sequence of statuses.

Status Range Defines the statuses that the user is able to see.

Still Compression drop-down menu Determines the compression method used when capturing still images (single frame).

Storage Commitment Tells the sending station what is the receiving status of the studies on the receiving station. The sending station can see the status of the Storage Commitment in the Communication Log if support storage commitment was selected in the Send tab.

Storage Commitment Tells the sending station what is the receiving status of the studies on the receiving station. By selecting Set Study Status when Storage Commitment is Received, study status will change from IN PROGRESS to the actual receive study status in the receiver station before the Storage Commitment has finished sending to the sender station.

Storage Commitment Log The log provides feedback from the receiving system to let the sending station know if the studies were received successfully.

Stretch Series Permits series to be displayed over multiple monitors

String data column The column which gives the user an option to enter values for configuration entries requiring a string value.

Study images Images belonging to a particular study.

Study Status Every study that resides on the RamSoft system has a status associated with it. This status helps users identify what tasks have been performed on the study so far and who should be interacting with it next. Furthermore, when other aspects of Workflow are configured, study statuses determine which users' Worklists the studies appear on, what stations and users they should be distributed to, as well as who is able to access the studies.

Subject field The subject of the fax.

Sub tags A type of annotation which is a sub tag of another documentation in the DICOM header.

System Configuration menu A menu containing various options for controlling the various aspects of the software.

System Configuration Administrator can configure system wide protocols that will be applied to all users of the system

System Configuration controls The section of PowerServer which controls the various aspects of the software in the background.
