DICOM Print Options

FIELD NAMEDESCRIPTION
Page BreaksIf Page Breaks checkbox is checked, the image will be printed in the next page
True SizeIf True Size checkbox is checked, the image will be printed to True size else the image will be printed in a "fit to window" size. Note that when you DICOM print an image in True Size, it is not printed in the Anatomical size.
Color OutputIf Color Output checkbox is checked, the image will be printed in color else, the image will be monochrome
CollateIf Collate checkbox is checked, all images will be printed once in a sequence as one set. This process repeats as many copies it is specified to print. If Collate checkbox is unchecked, the first image will be printed repeatedly the number of copies specified to print followed by the second image and so on
ImagesWhen you print, you have 3 Image options to choose from: Selected: Only images that have been clicked and highlighted can be printed. Visible: All the images of a series which is displayed on Viewer box will be printed. If the same series is dragged in two different views, the series would be printed twice. This feature is helpful when you want to print images with different presentation states. All: Choosing All will print all images inside the study.
PriorityTo select the priority when printing. You may select either Low/Medium/High.
Medium TypeTo select the print medium type (film/paper type)
Film DestinationTo select the name of the bin where the output will be sent
Print HCIf Print HC checkbox is checked, only HC object will be printed
OrientationYou have two options to select either a portrait/landscape. This field is enabled only when you increase the count either in Rows/Cols. When you switch Orientation from Landscape to Portrait, the Cols and Rows values will be switched if the Cols number is greater than that of Rows. Similarly, if you switch from Portrait to Landscape, the Cols and Rows values will be switched if the Rows number is greater than that of the Cols.
Film SizeWhat size of film could be appropriate to print the image can determined in Film Size drop-down menu. This is an important setting as the images are pre-formatted for the film size before they are sent to the printer. This setting needs to be configured properly for all printers
Image Format (Rows and Cols)To modify the layout of the images on each sheet of film. The values are automatically loaded from the Print Hanging Protocol definition. Changing the values in this dialog will overwrite those default values. However, the Print Hanging Protocol does specify what zoom level will be used for printing. The number of image to be printed in each Column and Row is determined by these values. For example, 3 Rows and 2 Cols will print the images in 3 rows having 2 columns each, i.e. a total of 6 images would be available for print.
CopiesTo select the desired number from the copies to be printed
Font Size FactorTo set the size of the annotations that will be printed beside the image. The number can be set as small as one and as large as 10.
note

When the Rows and Cols values are set to 1x1 under Image Format, the Orientation setting will be ignored and the server will determine whether to print in LANDSCAPE or PORTRAIT depending on the image dimensions.
