Annotation Tools

When interesting or important details are found in an image, it is a good idea to mark that information for future viewing. Furthermore, it can be very helpful in outlining a diagnosis described in the reading physician's report. Annotation tools mark information on an image, and can also be used to gather quantitative information about areas of images that cannot be computed by the human eye.

The Annotation Tools toolbar provides quick access to Annotation Tools.

Spine Labeling:

This button is only viewable when the active study contains a sagittal series. Spine Labeling is a powerful tool which allows a reading physician to easily label the different vertebrae and disks within a spine study. This is done so that the referring physician is able to interpret study results with ease. See: Spine Labelling for more details.
