Patient Default Languages

The Patient Default Languages form is a list of all languages which can be populated in the Language drop-down menu of the Patient Info form. Once a language has been selected in this list, it is available as a language for a new patient. The list is accessible by going to RIS Settings > Patient Default Languages.

This is not a mandatory field; however, the widely/commonly spoken languages should be chosen. The patient may decline to reveal their native language. Languages needed can be determined based on the location of the facility and resources employed in the facility. Only languages selected in this form will be populated in the Language drop-down menu of Patient Info screen. The application is built with certain predefined languages.
