How Do I Set my Start Up Search Screen?
When you launch PowerReader, it opens a list of studies or patients, for the current user to work with. The default search screen is the Worklist, however in certain Workflows, the Worklist might not be the desired list. For this reason, the software allows the system administrator to change the start up screen to one that will accommodate the site Workflow. This is done from the Setup Workflow dialog which is accessible by clicking Settings > Server Settings > Workflow.

Choosing Worklist will result in the PowerWorklist being opened. The Search selection will open the Quick Search list. Choosing Advanced will open the study search screen in advanced mode, allowing the use of a wider range of possible search filters. Patients Search will load the patient search screen.
If the system Workflow is being controlled by another device, one of the last two entries in the list can be used to automatically collect the data from the remote source. The Remote Worklist selection will open the DICOM Worklist as provided by the remote device, while the Remote Studies selection will open the dialog that is used to query the remote device based on specific search criteria.
It is also important to note, that whatever screen is chosen as the default, it can be customized. The PowerWorklist will launch the users default Worklist. The studies appearing on the Worklist are predetermined by the system administrator. If any of the other five options is set as the default, the search criteria used can be saved. That way every time the software is launched the search screen will contain the desired studies. The Automatically open study upon unique query will open a study automatically if there was only one study that matched the search query.
