Meaningful Use Features

RamSoft PowerReader is certified by ONC-ATCB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services as a Complete Ambulatory EHR for Meaningful Use Stage 2 (2014 Edition). This capability includes Computerized Provider Order Entry, e-Prescribing, Drug Formulary Checks, Immunization Information, Family Health History, Data Portability, Patient List Creation, Direct Messaging, Enhanced Amendment Workflow and Emergency Access, providing patients ability to view download and transmit their health records using Microsoft™ HealthVault and Clinical Decision Support.

Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) enables users to perform imaging orders, medication orders and laboratory orders electronically. Medication orders are entered using the integrated NewCrop interface. NewCrop also enables users to perform e-Prescriptions, Drug Formulary checks, Drug-Drug or Drug-Allergy interactions and allergy records. These options are explained in detail in the NewCrop section. NewCrop allows prescriptions to be sent electronically. See the topic on Creating a Prescription for the Patient.

Users can now electronically record, change and access Immunization information. See Immunization Information.

The Patient Registration form allows entering patient demographic data to be entered (e.g. Race, Ethnicity, Smoking Status and Preferred Language). Users can add, edit or delete a patient's family history record. See Patient Information (RIS).

Users are also able to create an electronic copy of a patient's clinical information. Data Portability is performed on patient search form. Viewing, downloading and transmitting data is satisfied inside HealthVault. See the section on Electronic Copy of Health Information.

For administrative purposes, users can create a list of patients based on one or multiple criteria such as patient's age, sex, contact method, race, ethnicity, problems, allergies, medications and lab results. See the section on Creating a List of Patients with Specific Criteria.

The Direct Messaging feature enables users to send and receive local and direct messages. Sending and receiving direct messages uses the secure transport protocol. For more information, see the section on Messaging.

Users can add amendment requests for signed reports. System tracks the amendment requests with the user requested addendum, date the amendment request is created, the date the addendum is created, if an amendment request is denied or approved and comments of Radiologists. Users can be provided emergency access to a study even if they are not an assigned personnel of the study. See Emergency Access for more details.

Patients can view, download and transmit their clinical information online using Microsoft HealthVault patient portal. This feature is explained in Uploading Patient Information to Microsoft HealthVault.

PowerReader can be used to generate interventions for clinicians, radiologists or radiology technicians based on patient data such as demographics, medications, allergies, problems, diagnosis codes, laboratory results, height, weight and blood pressure. PowerReader can be used to send specific reminders to patients regarding preventive or follow-up care. These reminders are sent according to patient preference, i.e. fax, phone or emails. See the section on Patient Reminders.

Procedure Codes and Diagnosis Codes can now be designated as critical. See the section on Procedure Codes and Diagnosis Codes respectively.

PowerReader now has improved Audit Log options, allowing the users to sort the Audit log and filter the results according to various criteria. System Administrators can now track users activity with regard to adding, updating and deleting CDS rules. These enhancements are explained in the Audit Log section.

PowerReader enables the creation of a single reconciled list of medications, allergies or problems by comparing the existing information with the information imported through CCDA. See the Reconciling Clinical Information section.
